DOMINION DELUXE - FULL RENO

There are always surprises when working with an older home and in this case, we had a couple of good ones. After pulling up the retro carpet, we found really beautiful rimu floors, at the same time, we found amazing brick walls behind the drywall in both the master and main bathroom which we decided to keep exposed. Due to its age, we also had to deal with asbestos ceilings which took the total renovation from our normal 6 weeks to 8. We needed to add a 3rd bedroom, so by removing the hot water cylinder which sat in an extremely large cupboard and stealing a bit of space from the kitchen we were able to achieve this. We completely redid the kitchen giving it a new fresh modern feel, with an indoor-outdoor flow on to a large deck flowing down to a fire pit area. We also know the importance of creating that cosy feel, so by adding a large gas fire, it insured that whoever ended up buying this house was guaranteed to have warm fun-filled family evenings in there living space.
